PHASE 1 – GROUND AND FLIGHT PREPARATION TRAINING

Description: Ground school will comprise a 3 hour weekly in-classroom instructor-led program where you will learn and be familiar with aviation-related subjects required to not only pass but also ace the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test.

FLIGHT PREPARATION TRAINING
Description: Flight preparation training will be conducted in our Redbird MCX full motion flight simulator located in our Seletar office. Each flight simulator session will last approximately 90 minutes, including a pre and post-fight briefing. The goal of the Flight Preparation Training is to prepare you to not only pass, but also ace the FAA Private Pilot Practical Test (Oral Exam & Flight Test) WITHIN 30 DAYS!
The subjects covered include:
AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE
• Flight training process
• Training airplane
• Preflight
• “Special Emphasis Areas” (per PTS)
• Taxiing
• Four basics of flight (straight and level, turns, climbs, descents)
• The experience and knowledge required by the Private License
• Review all Private manoeuvres, performed according to PTS
PHASE 2 – GROUND EXAM AND FLIGHT TRAINING
Duration: 30 Days
Location: California, USA
Description: After you have completed PHASE 1 – GROUND AND FLIGHT PREPARATION TRAINING in Singapore and have been signed-off by our flight instructor, you will need to head to California, USA for the final phase of your Private Pilot training. The good news is by the time you arrive in California, USA, you will already possess the required knowledge and proficiency to immediately take the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test within the first 5 days – while awaiting processing and approval of your TSA Clearance. You will require TSA clearance before you are allowed to commence actual in-aircraft flight training.
After you obtain TSA clearance to commence flight training, you will be fast-tracked through the FAA Private Pilot Practical Test syllabus – since you already underwent flight preparation training in Singapore. The goal is for you to meet the minimum requirements in order to be eligible to take the FAA Private Pilot Practical Test (Oral Exam & Flight Test) WITHIN 30 DAYS!
The requirements are as follows:
AIRPLANE SINGLE ENGINE RATING
Total Time: 40 hours minimum which consists of at least:
Dual: 20 hours minimum of flight training with an instructor on the Private Pilot areas of operation including:
3 hours of cross country flight training in a single-engine airplane;
3 hours of night flight training in a single-engine airplane, that includes at least:
a) 1 cross country flight of over 100 nm total distance; and
b) 10 T/O’s and 10 landings to a full stop with each involving a flight in the traffic pattern at an airport.
3 hours of flight training by reference to instruments in a single-engine airplane; and
3 hours of flight training in a single-engine airplane within the 60 days prior to the practical test.
Solo: 10 hours minimum of solo flying in a single-engine airplane on the Private Pilot areas of operation including:
5 hours of solo cross country flying;
1 solo cross country flight of at least 150nm total distance with full-stop landings at 3 points and one segment of at least 50nm between T/O and landings; and
3 T/O’s and landings to a full stop at an airport with an operating control tower.
